8 WAYS TO CONSISTENT IN YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE


You see a post, video on Instagram or facebook then get highly motivated to workout, stay fit but this lasts only for some while, right? Here are 8 different ways to stay motivated about your fitness routine.

(1) START SLOW, GRADUALLY ADVANCE:- Begin with easy workout plans. Choose asanas which are easy, don’t just start lifting weights on your very first day. Start working out for 20-30 minutes then gradually increase the intensity of your exercise. If you begin with tiring and difficult exercise goals on the very first beginning days you are then tend to easily give up, also you may injure yourself. Its better to start slow and gradually level up.

(2) HAVE A WORKOUT PLAN :- Choose what you want to do, how you want to do and when you want to do. Accordingly execute your plan. If you want to lose some weight then plan a fat burning routine, stick to it, follow it religiously. Planning and execution is very important to stay focussed on the fitness routine.

(3) BE ACCOUNTABLE, SET RULES, STICK TO IT:- Be fair to yourself, don’t cheat on your plan or routine. If you have planned to go for a run for 20 minutes in the morning then stick to your plan, make a rule that if you don’t do it you will have to lose something, may be you wont get to have your favourite smoothie that day. In this way you will stick to your plan.

(4) SET SHORT TERM GOALS, ACHIEVE THEM:- Its very crucial to set a goal and likewise achieve it , this motivates you to do even better and level yourself up. The goals should be achievable. Also treat yourself once you reach the goal. Say you planned of working out daily for a week for 30 minutes after you have done this, you can have a pastry or milkshake you like!

(5) MAKE YOUR ROUTINE INTRESTING:- To avoid boredom, do something you enjoy. If you like dancing, schedule a Zumba workout for yourself. You like swimming, then do that! Keep changing your routine. You can choose Mondays for abs, Tuesday for Zumba, Wednesdays for pilates and so on. This choice is all yours and key is to enjoy it.

(6) FIND A FITNESS BUDDY FOR YOURSELF:- Some people enjoy company. They like working out together. Fitness buddies can motivate each other, they can set goals and achieve them together. A healthy competitive atmosphere is created which is helpful. A fitness buddy can be anybody your friend, colleague, sibling. You can also join any class/gym you wish too.

(7) MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS:- Its very important to measure your progress, it motivates you to keep going and also makes you feel proud of yourself. It also helps you to change or plan your workout accordingly. It helps you to level up.

(8) HAVE A REST DAY:- Its very important to choose any one day of the week as a rest day. It gives a rest your body, some time to heal from some small injuries caused during exercise. Rest is essential for muscle growth. Exercise creates microscopic tears in your muscle tissue. But during rest cells called fibroblasts repair it. Helps the tissue heal and grow, resulting in stronger muscles.
